ST KEVINS 0 TEMPLEOGUE 0

SO OUR Saturday 7s unbeaten league record - which stretches all the way back to September 9 last - remains intact. But only just.

On Saturday last we were second to every ball, lacked ideas, lost our shape too easily - and seemed to forget ALL of the basics we had worked so hard to master.

Much of the game was played in our territory for the 40 minutes. We just couldn't clear our lines. It was like a rubber ball - it just came bouncing back.

What frustrated teams coaches Fran Tyrell and Paul Doody so much was the fact that too many of the squad never performed.

Despite that Templeogue had few clear cut chances (thanks to good rearguard work from Aaron Malone and Evan Ruddell and a fine save from Adam Duffy) and a fine solo run from Jamie Casserley almost ended in a goal.

The squad will have to lift their performance somewhat when they travel to play Phoenix FC this Saturday.

RESULTS FOR JANUARY 27/28

OUR Saturday side saw their game cancelled due to the untimely death of a St John Bosco Under-10 player.

The only other result we have to hand for the Saturday 7A division is the fixture between our old rivals Phoenix FC and Cherry Orchard. Our friends from the Navan Road were comprehensively beaten 6-0.

Our Sunday 7A's got off to a great start. The full results from that division were:
